Randy Dean – Founder/CEO
Randy brings more than 20 years of experience in the consumer online industry. As one of the earliest employees of America Online, Randy pioneered many of the first online, interactive products and services. His background includes extensive experience in the development, management and distribution of online content, as well as business development, marketing, advertising sales and business operations. As the creator of AOL’s first sports channel, he built relationships with some of the top global sports organizations and created the largest sports community on the web. As the Director of Operations he built the infrastructure systems for AOL’s first advertising organization, resulting in revenue of over $100 million in less than 3 years. Most recently, he was Vice President of the e-commerce division at the Active Network, the nation’s largest community supporting active lifestyles.
Randy received his BA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also has a professional culinary degree. When he is not working, you can find him in the kitchen or rooting for the TarHeels, and sometimes both.
Chuck Mitchell – Founder/President
Chuck has 20 years of experience as a successful innovator and entrepreneur, producing award winning consumer products for distribution via satellite, cable, mobile, proprietary platforms and the Internet. Chuck’s experience and expertise in real-time communications and interactive services includes business development, product development and executive management.
At NTN Communications, Chuck created game experiences for online consumers and several media partners. In 1996 Chuck founded MassHysteria, a company that developed advanced marketing and real-time data applications for major media companies including Viacom, AOL, NBA, NHL, NFL and Microsoft. Most recently, as Senior Vice President at the Active Network, Chuck created Active’s consumer media property, creating industry-leading tools, content and community to serve the largest active sports audience in the U.S. He has been the recipient of multiple awards including Interactive Media Awards (Outstanding Achievement, 2007), Most Innovative New Product (Finalist, 2000), Software Product of the Year ( Finalist, 2000), Internet Company of the Year (Finalist, 1999). Best Game Product (AOL, 1995-'96), and Best Sports Product (AOL, 1995-'96).
Chuck is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where he studied communications, law and race and ethnicity. Chuck enjoys spending free time doing outdoor activities with his family.
